Alta Vista Botanical Gardens invites you to join us for the 2021 Fall Fun Festival, a free event for the entire family!

Free family event! Join us for a scarecrow contest and plant sale. Vendors will offer food and wares.

Fall Fun Festival

Plant Sale GrowGetters will sell a variety of plants.
Vendors will provide crafts and food.
Scarecrow Contest!

This year the scarecrows will be constructed at home.

Here’s how:

  • Register and pick up scarecrow supplies: Details to be provided later this summer.

  • Deposit of $10 to cover the armature (sticks), a head, stuffing, and your choice of clothes  from our collection. $5 will be returned when the completed scarecrow is brought back to the Gardens.

  • Create a scarecrow at home using colorful clothes and bling.

  • Bring completed scarecrow to the Gardens for judging at the Festival 9 AM to noon.

  • Home-made scarecrows can also be registered for the contest for $5 that day.

Judges will choose winners. Gift card prizes will awarded to 3 creative families.

Scarecrows are displayed in the Garden for a year.

 

Entry to the Gardens is free! Walk the 14 acres of Gardens filled with rare plants, our new Children’s Garden Discovery Trail, Breceda sculptures, and intriguing water features.
