Community Service

The Gardens appreciate students who make our semi-annual Festivals work!

Our Earth Day Festival in April and our Fall Fun Festival in October are successful thanks to student volunteers. Hundreds of families enjoy their time together outdoors in the Gardens and share a variety of creative activities.

We will gladly sign off your volunteer hours to turn in for Character Leaders, Environmental Club, Key Club, or CSF.  We have had volunteers from RBV, VHS, VMMS, MVHS, and GPA. You all make a difference in our community!

Some groups check in with Farmer Jones to provide an activity suitable for children.  They plan, organize, share with families, and then clean up at the end of the day.

Our student volunteers help with constructing scarecrows, decorating punkins, and bobbing for apples at the Fall Fun Festival, and they help sort trash.  They sell raffle tickets to support the Gardens.

Earth Day volunteers help with Earth Day Rocks! painting and craft activities, and collect emails from our visitors.

Volunteers help with setting up tables, chairs, and trash cans – and help clean-up at the end of the events.
