What fun we have playing with our food!
Saturday, June 13th
10 am to Noon
A fun and exciting time to learn about Bugs and Butterflies at this FREE class!
This class is sponsored by Building Kidz School, and so the class is FREE for all registered kids and families!!!
Adults will stay with their kids.
Register now!
Bring a veggie or fruit to add to our collection.
We’ll talk about the nutrition in the food and then create your own creatures using vegetables and fruits and your imagination.
We will provide the toothpicks and you will provide the inspiration for your unique creations.
Bring cash for the class fee – $5 per person – which includes entry and time to enjoy the Gardens till closing at 4:30 pm.
Class is FREE if your family has a family membership. Grandparents who have family memberships may bring their grandkids.
Adults will stay with their kids.
If you would like to attend this class, you will need to PRE-REGISTER with Farmer Jones by noon on June 12th to hold your spot.

February 14 Nature Drawing and Watercolors – Take a close look at a tree, a flower, or a plant, then draw it and add color to create a masterpiece!
March 14 Soil, Composting & Planting – What are the different kinds of soil? How can we make soil by composting? What are the 3 Sisters?
April 18 Earth Day Festival #17 – FREE event children’s nature activities, music and dance, vendors, plant sale, BBQ lunch for sale
May 9 no class
June 13 Veggie Critters – Create your own creatures using vegetables and fruits and your imagination
July 11 Wonderful World of Worms – Why are they important?
August 8 Water Is Wonderful – Where does our water come from? How do we use water? How can we save water? Let’s have fun with water!
September 12 Birds, Nests, Feathers, Beaks – Our feathered friends and their special adaptations for survival
October 10 Fall Fun Festival #18 – FREE children’s activities, scarecrow contest, music, vendors, plant sale, BBQ lunch for sale
November 14 Scavenger Hunt for Nature’s Treasures – Walk the Gardens to discover intriguing plants and garden features
December 12 Stone Soup and Breadsticks – Share the story, make the soup, and roll out breadsticks
