Vista, CA -Discover how to reduce your food waste and help divert organic waste from our local landfills by attending the at the Alta Vista Botanical Gardens on Saturday, August 24 at 10:30 a.m.

Hosted by I Love a Clean San Diego and sponsored by The City of Vista, this free workshop will guide you through reducing food waste while shopping and cooking, the benefits and drawbacks of various composting methods, the importance of keeping organic waste out of landfills, and proper disposal through curbside organic recycling programs.

Participants will also have the chance to create and take home a vermicomposting bin with all the supplies provided! Supplies are limited to one bin per household, with priority given to City of Vista residents. Make sure to register here!
