Introducing our Summer Velocity Interns for 2024

Nathaly Rodarte

“My Name is Nathaly Rodarte, I go to Vista High School. My favorite subject is science and I want to go to school to become a phlebotomist. And in my free time I like to draw and go on hikes with my family.”

Cristy Gonzalez

“My name is Cristy. I go to Guajome Park Academy and plan on going to a 4-year college after high school. I love to read and write, and I love to talk about my dogs.” 

Yasmin Garcia

“My name is Yasmin Garcia. I attend Guajome Park Academy and will be a senior this year. My dream college is Penn State University. I would like to study Forensic Science. In my free time I like to paint, read, go shopping and explore new places.”

As we celebrate 25 years of Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, it brings me great pleasure to share some exciting news. To mark this significant milestone, we are hosting a gala fundraising event. The gala aims to raise funds for the continued growth and development of AVBG, ensuring that it remains a vibrant and thriving space for generations to come. Your support and attendance at this event will help the gardens flourish as we embark on the next chapter of our journey.
