Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon Highlights! Rafael Munoz AVBG Obelisk Award Winner and Volunteer of the Year 2024
The sun shone a little brighter, and the plants a bit greener the day Rafael Munoz joined our volunteer team here at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens! Here are just a few of his contributions: His focus is always on our “guest’s experience” (his words), His long hours, tolling away, moving boulders of stone that did not want to be moved, Straightening and smoothing out a pathway to make it safer, tending to the Madagascar Garden and learning about the appropriate plants and their care, Digging and planting areas around the garden to add to its beauty, His attention to detail and willingness to do whatever needs to be done. Helping at our big events, directing our guest to parking spots, Trimming the undergrowth away to make each area a bit more beautiful. Helping set-up and tear down weekend events. And always with a great attitude and steady manner. We are so pleased you found us and so appreciative of your time, talents, and dedication in helping to make our gardens more beautiful.
